How Brands Adopted Hashtags on Facebook!!!


As we all know in June, Facebook has adopted clickablehashtags. It has been a popular way for users to track conversations, topics and trends on Twitter, Instagram and Google+. So, it wasn’t a big surprise to see hashtags to make their way to Facebook.
 


All brands started experimenting with hashtags. More than 100 top brands on Facebook have started using at least one hashtag in a post, according to an analytics company, Simply Measured

Simply Measured recently published data, which looks at how often some top brands used hashtags on Facebook . This is the data between June 12 and 26, 2013. 



• 56% of the top 100 brands on Facebook used hashtags in a post

• 38% of the top 100 brands on Facebook posted at least two updates with hashtags

• 18% of of the top 100 brands on Facebook posted more than five times using hashtags

• 6% of the top 100 brands on Facebook posted more than 10 times using hashtags

This gives the clear picture about how Brands AdoptedHashtags on Facebook. Day by day clickable hashtags are gaining popularity. So, what are you waiting for post your FB status with a hashtag!!!

Did you see Gmail’s new look?


In this digital everybody’s life is revolving around Google, Gmail, Facebook and Twitter. As we all know Facebook is ever changing, so Google is shaking things up again, this time on the Gmail. If you are a regular user of Gmail, you may have observed the latest updates, options and modification to set up inbox tabs. 







Instead of having one long page of emails making up your inbox, Google has set up tabs and will categorize the emails as they come in. Currently there are 5 categories: Primary, Promotions, Social, Updates and Forums as you can see this in Image. Here are the all 5 Gmail inbox tabs

Great Initiative by IAMAI and Facebook


Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and Facebook have taken a great initiative. They together partnered to educate children, who are aged 13-17 on Internet safety in India


FB and IAMAI will help the students, teachers and parents from Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad on how to reap maximum benefits from internet. Additionally, not compromising on Internet safety and security. Moreover, they even train NGO’s all across these cities about this programme.


This great programme starts from Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad as a initiative and covers 18,000 students across 30 schools and institutions. Facebook will develop the content and training material for this programme in regional languages. Key presentations and events will be live streamed via https://www.Facebook.Com/FacebookIndia.
